PJ Breakfast

We had a great morning having breakfast at school in our PJ's. All the New Entrants and Year 1's had breakfast together in Horoeka 1. We sat at three long tables.

We could have waffles, peaches, yoghurt, maple syrup, cream and toast. YUM!

The teachers even dressed up. What a busy and fun morning.

Breakfast Placemats

This week we have been reading a big book Healthy Eating. We made a special placemat for our PJ Breakfast at school. Here are some of them.

Daniel and the Lions Den

This week we are retelling the story of Daniel and the lions den. Today we acted it out. Daniel was "Daniel" of course!

Big Clock

Today we made a big clock on the floor. We are getting good at o'clock times!

Farm Thank you!

We got an email from Mr and Mrs King - the farmers who let us visit their farm last week....

Dear Mrs Phillips and the new Entrants and Year 1’s at Aidanfield Christian School,

Thank you for the awesome thank you poster that you have made for us with your lovely name stars which you have beautifully coloured in, the wonderful photos and cow on the back.  Also thank you for the bucket of goodies which are quickly disappearing.   We are so pleased that you came to visit our farm to see how milk is produced following on from what you have learnt at school, we wished the day was a little warmer!

Making Butter

Today we made butter. We put some cream and a clean marble in a jar with a tight lid. Then we shook shook shook it. We tasted the butter on a cracker - it was yummy!

Timeline

Today as part of our Time Unit work we have drawn what we do during each hour of the day. Then we had to put the day in order.
