This week we are reading the big book - Brown ear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle. Today we made bear hats and practised our bear growls.

In Visual Art on Friday we learnt how to use tools to add texture marks to our paint work. 

Room AB's Russian Dance

We have learnt a Russian dance to perform at Cultural Night. We have been trying hard all week to get the moves right. It is very exciting. Theodor plays the music for us!

Room C's Poi Song

Today Room C showed us their Maori Poi Song. They were really clever swinging their poi.

Lavalava Big Book

This week we have read a big book called Lavalava. Its about a Samoan wrap skirt. We tried some on in the classroom.

Lion Dance

Today Mrs Shirley and Mrs Angela bought the Chinese Lion Heads into our classroom. We got to try them on and we watched a dance of a real one in China - here's the link to look at home:

Cultural Parade

This morning we proudly lined up behind the flags of our own cultural heritage and paraded around the Primary area. Some of us wore special clothes. Mr Bibby and Mrs Phillips dressed up as rugby players from NZ.
